This morning, Helen-Ann Smith from Sky News came to interview us about how the gas price inflation has affected our ceramic business. It was a nice opportunity because it helped raise awareness of our business in Burslem and how it’s thriving despite the rise in costs to create our ware.

Our factory kilns require gas to fire at up to 1140°C in order to fire our ceramic ware. A number of our machines in the production line also rely on gas to operate so you would usually come to the conclusion that we’d take a heavy blow from how much it would now cost us to run things. However, we’re lucky in that our business is doing extremely well so helps us balance out the effects of the cost inflation and are confident in our factory’s future.
